The Diedrich Profiling & Roastery Set-up course is tailored towards using Diedrich machinery and setting up a new roastery.

Location: Onsite at our Fulham Training Campus
Length: Three full days in length.

This course will be taught by Jamie Banwell. 

Jamie has been an SCA qualified roasting trainer for 5 years and a Diedrich Master Trainer for 8 years. Jamie is a Q Grader, formerly a UKBC and WBC Judge and currently a judge for regional roasting competitions: he also has a BEng in Engineering in Civil Engineering from the UMIST.

Initially, Jamie was a distributor for Diedrich in the UK, but since July 2018, Jamie is Director of European Sales for Diedrich Roasters, responsible for training and many other areas.


What you'll learn:

This comprehensive 3-day course covers roasting profiles and all aspects of setting up your roastery. Using a variety of Diedrich commercial roasters, you will learn the skill of roasting, as well as;

- How to profile your roasts
- How to set up a cupping table and assess your roasts
- Installation requirements
- Fire and safety requirements and maintenance.

We also provide a talk on how to buy your green coffee from a green coffee merchant and discuss management techniques. 


Information regarding the full roasting week:

This course offers you the flexibility to either just attend the Diedrich Profiling and Roastery course or to include the SCA foundation roasting course (day one) and intermediate exam (day five).

We do this so attendees can specify the course to their requirements.
