SCA Barista Foundation - certified course for beginner Baristas.
Learn the essential skills to get started on your barista career and receive the SCA accreditation.
Our SCA Barista training takes places at our training facility in Wandsworth SW18 4LY.
The course focuses on the key skills required to:
- set your grinder
- make great espresso
- foam and texture milk
- begin to draw latte art
This course will also cover the basic information regarding equipment care.
What to expect:
1-day course from 10 am to 4 to 5 pm - (dependent on number of students attending)
Morning Session: Theory and knowledge development
Afternoon Session: Practical skills and examination:
As well as a basic practical examination during the day, this course also has a written exam which should be completed within 21 days of the course completion.
If successful, you will gain 5 points towards your diploma.
You are welcome to attend the course without taking the examinations. Please contact us for further details and a discount code to deduct the SCA exam fees.
Our Foundation course includes the SCA Certification fee. However, you are required to pay a additional Euro50 SCA Student enrolment fee direct to the SCA. The SCA will invoice you directly for this.
If you would like to attend an SCA course and not partake in the examination, E50 will be deducted from the cost of the course. Alternatively, the LSC also offers non-accredited barista courses.
