Our Trainers are the best. Each of our trainers is renowned in the Speciality Coffee Industry for her/his knowledge, experience and skills. In most cases, the only place you will be able to benefit from their expertise is at the London School of Coffee.

We are the first and largest Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCA) Premier Training Campus in the UK. We instruct in all coffee industry disciplines and have the latest equipment to enable us to teach, from the beginner to a professional level, Roasting, Brewing, Barista Skills, Green Coffee, Sensory and The Q-Arabica Combo - the highest qualification within the coffee industry.

As a testament to the quality of our equipment, site and trainers, The London School of Coffee was awarded the SCA Premier Campus certification in 2018.

Courses are conducted at our Premier SCA Campus – Unit 3A Imperial Studios, Imperial Road, Fulham SW6 2AG. We can also provide bespoke training in your workplace or chosen training facility. In the near future, we will be conducting courses from several campuses in Dubai

The London School of Coffee was established in 2002. Since then, our team has provided exceptional training in all disciplines, and we are proud to be considered the very best at what we do.

From beginners to professionals, from school-leavers to retirees, we welcome anyone who has a love for or curiosity about the coffee industry.

We cap course size at 6 - 8 students, depending on the subject matter and course level. Additionally, we offer one–on-one private training and can cater to large groups for events.

The one exception to this is the Q-Arabica Combo, for which we are certified to teach 24 students.

Yes! We love to put together fun events and team-building days. These can last for a few hours or a whole day. Contact us to confirm what you are looking for, and we will do the rest.

Yes. If you need training for your team, we will discuss your needs and develop a bespoke programme to provide training at your site using your own equipment.

Yes, 3 hours. Cost will depend on trainer and subject matter.

Once your course is confirmed and paid for, our refund policy is as follows:

• 14 or more days’ notice: we will provide a full refund or an alternative date for training.
• 7 – 13 days’ notice: we will provide a 50% refund or an alternative date.
• Fewer than 7 days: we are unable to offer a refund and may not be able to offer an alternative date. If we are able to find a person to take your place and find you an alternative date, we will always try to do so, but this cannot be guaranteed.

SCA Diploma Courses

These courses will be taught by Authorized SCA Trainers (ASTs). Trainers deliver course content within the SCA Coffee Skills Programme and assess the written and practical examinations required to pass each module, audited by the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association). Non-SCA, Skills Based Courses (LSC)

London School of Coffee offer our own, uniquely designed courses that will help you to build a wide range of coffee skills to kickstart or advance your coffee career. You will receive a certificate of completion, but there is no examination.

VRQ City and Guilds

This Vocationally Recognised Qualification (VRQ) is designed to help you develop the skills you need to work professionally as a barista in any environment. (Learn more)

Yes. If you are new to the discipline, you need to start with Foundation or Basic level courses and then move on to the Intermediate level.

Our Professional courses are limited to experienced coffee professionals, as prior knowledge and skills are required.

If for any reason you are unsuccessful, we will offer you another date to re-take the exam.

There will always be an administration fee for a re-take. The amount will depend on the discipline and course level. This will be discussed with you before booking, along with any help or additional training time that you may require.

Yes. Please contact us for details prior to the course date.

We do not recommend this, as having some basic barista skills will help you get the most from the course. However, if you still want to attend a Latte Art course with no prior experience, we recommend you attend the full day so that you can learn to steam milk correctly in the morning.

If you are an experienced Barista and want to improve your Latte Art pattern-making skills, then you can attend the half day, free-pouring session.

If you are attending a full day course, you will receive a light lunch. We have water, juice etc. and, of course, offer wonderful coffee for you to drink!

We provide all alternative milks at the school. Please just let us know your preference in advance.

Just bring yourself, a notebook (if you wish) and the attitude to learn and have fun!
