Heidi Philip-Smith - Latte Art Trainer

Pouring flat whites since 2013, Heidi is a 4x UK Latte Art Finalist and 2017 World Latte Art competitor.

Heidi’s coffee journey first began in Winchester, where she worked alongside 6x UK Latte Art Champion, Dhan Tamang; helping her to master the skill of latte art. Competing alongside Dhan, Heidi went on to gain 4x finalist positions in the UK, as well as awarded a place to compete in the World Latte Art Championships; something of a personal highlight.

Alongside competitions, Heidi has freelanced for a number of years, working in multiple specialty coffee shops and roasteries. Last year, Heidi joined the LSC team, assisting and shadowing a number of trainers, helping to develop her knowledge of the wider coffee supply chain.

Heidi’s primary discipline at the school is latte art training. Having been her first passion when she started in the industry, Heidi is keen to share her knowledge and to help people gain the confidence to grow in the industry. Heidi believes a relaxed and fun approach to learning is the best way to learn a new skill, encouraging everyone to join no matter what level!
