This hands-on workshop will give you the skills to use and understand a variety of different brew methods.

By understanding the essential elements of coffee brewing, you will learn how they individually influence the final cup.

Course Outline: 

You will cover all the basics for coffee brewing, including:

  • Water to coffee ratio basics
  • Introduction to grind size
  • Brew time basics
  • Introduction to water temperature
  • Introduction to brewing turbulence
  • Basic brewing using equipment including V60, Chemex and AeroPress.

On the day:

This course is 1 day in length - a light lunch will be provided.

Successful completion of the Foundation course will result in 5 points gained towards the SCA diploma.
